Donald Trump has been caught in another awkward exchange with his wife Melania Trump. The President and First Lady were walking to a jet when NBC News captured Trump appearing to try and grab his wife’s hand and then, when he failed, moving her out of the way to get closer to the TV cameras.

The shows that Melania’s long yellow coat was draped over her shoulders and her arms tucked inside.

But Trump didn’t seem to notice his wife’s hands were completely out of reach and appears to try and grab one.

When he failed to get hold of her he stopped suddenly and appeared to awkwardly move her out of the way so he could wave to journalists instead.

After some seconds standing together, the pair made their way to the plane and headed to Ohio.

The odd encounter didn’t go unnoticed.

Recall that President Donald Trump delivered his first State of the Union address on Tuesday night. It was a (very) lengthy speech in which he largely revisited his accomplishments over his first year in office and offered a handful of proposals he’d like to see considered in the coming year.

His wife, Melania Trump arrived at the event to a standing ovation wearing an all-white Dior pantsuit, worn over a chic silk Dolce & Gabbana shirt.

Melania Trump paired the outfit with some Christian Louboutin heels. It was clear she was channeling her husband’s Democratic rival Hillary Clinton who famously wore all-white pantsuits on a number of occasions while she was fighting against Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential race.

47-year-old first lady Melania Trump did not utter a word to the crowd gathered at the Capitol to hear her husband’s State of the Union address on Tuesday night.

This is also her first public appearance of the year, following reports that the first lady has been staying in a hotel rather than the White House after Trump’s alleged affair with a porn star resurfaced this month.
